INSOMNIA, NIGHTMARES & FEELING EXHAUSTED ON WAKING

Having the odd late or disturbed night can leave us feeling out of sorts the next day. Imagine if every night was like that? If you are struggling with nightmares, or if you’re finding it hard to either get to sleep or stay asleep, it can cause other problems such as poor concentration, irregular eating patterns, feelings of stress or anxiety and bad moods.

There are two phases of sleep: deep recuperative sleep and REM sleep (an energetic and exhausting phase of sleep where your brain is processing, dreaming and attempting to make sense of your day).

In a normal, healthy adult, REM sleep should take just a couple of hours which are broken into small sections during your sleep and you should wake feeling refreshed and ready for the day.   For those of you who wake up feeling exhausted, it’s likely that REM sleep is taking up too much time.   During your session I’ll explain more about this and show you ways in which you can increase those deep, recuperative and restorative sleep hours.

During a hypnotherapy session, we will explore your lifestyle and sleeping patterns, I’ll give you a whole host of tips and hints, which with practice will help you get to sleep anytime you want and I will use hypnosis to deliver some positive and effective techniques. Creating a line of communication to open a link between your conscious mind and your subconscious can help you to have a better understanding of not only why your brain is making you stay awake, but what you can do to ensure longer periods of healthy, rejuvenating sleep.
